Wisdom teeth removal

Wisdom teeth can often cause pain, crowding, or infection as they emerge. At Be Dental, our visiting dentist Dr Stefan Vidimce provides gentle and precise wisdom tooth removal right here on the Gold Coast. We offer clear advice, comfortable treatment, and supportive aftercare to help you recover quickly and protect your smile.

What are wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that usually emerge in your late teens or early twenties. For many people, there isn’t enough room in the mouth for these teeth to come through properly. This can lead to problems such as crowding, pain, infection, or impaction (when the tooth is trapped beneath the gum or bone).

At Be Dental, we offer professional wisdom tooth assessments and removal from the comfort of our Gold Coast dental clinic. Our visiting dentist, Dr Stefan Vidimce, has a special interest in the removal of wisdom teeth and performs procedures with care and precision to ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible.

Having your wisdom teeth removed at Be Dental can also save you an expensive trip to the hospital for oral surgery, as many procedures can be safely performed right here in our clinic.

Why might you need your wisdom teeth removed?

In many cases, wisdom teeth don’t have enough space to erupt correctly, which can lead to a range of issues including:

  • Jaw or facial pain
  • Swelling and inflammation of the gums
  • Infections or cysts forming around the tooth
  • Pressure or crowding on surrounding teeth
  • Difficulty cleaning around partially erupted teeth

Removing problematic wisdom teeth can help prevent infection, protect your other teeth, and relieve ongoing discomfort.

What does the procedure involve?

The process begins with a full examination and X-rays to determine the position of your wisdom teeth. Depending on their alignment and your comfort, the removal can be performed under local anaesthetic at Be Dental. For more complex cases, we can discuss alternative options to ensure a safe and stress-free procedure.

How much does wisdom teeth removal cost?

The cost of wisdom tooth removal can vary depending on the complexity and number of teeth being removed. After your consultation, we’ll provide a clear, upfront quote before proceeding. If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate on your treatment.

Recovery and aftercare

Most patients experience some mild swelling or tenderness for a few days following the procedure. We’ll provide you with aftercare instructions and pain management advice to help ensure a smooth and speedy recovery.
