Dental insurance as part of you private health cover is a great way to maximise your ability to pay for care. 

How does HICAPS work?

Firstly you receive the bill for your dental treamtent, your health fund card is simply swiped through the HICAPS terminal.  Your claim details are entered and in seconds the whole transaction is processed.

Once your claim is authorised, you simply pay the gap amount – the difference between the full fee for the treatment and the amount claimed from your health fund.

 How do I pay?

As we have an EFTPOS facility available you can pay the gap owing with your EFTPOS or credit card. Cash is also accepted. 

Forget paying the total bill upfront and waiting days for a rebate; HICAPS ensures your health fund’s contribution is processed on the spot so you’re not out of pocket.

  • Medibank Private Members Choice Advantage 
  • HCF 

All other participating health funds are accepted.  This means by visiting us, you’ll pay less. 

 

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

What is the Child Dental Benefit Schedule? 

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides eligible children with financial assistance for basic dental services. Eligible children will have access to a benefit cap of $1,000 over a two calendar year period.

What does the schedule include?

The CDBS provides a range of services including :

  • Fillings
  • X-rays 
  • Active maintenance
  • Examinations

Who is eligible?

To be eligible a child must be aged between 2-17 years and their family must receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment.

You are able to check if your child is eligible for the CDBS by contacting the Department of Human Services. General information about the program can also be found on the Department of Human Services website.

What we require?

All we would require is the current physical medicare card for the patient and a signed consent form from a parent/Guardian.

Do I need to bring my Health Fund card with me?

Yes, unfortunately we physically need to swipe your health fund card through our HI CAPS machine on the day of treatment.

Can I get a quote from my Health Fund, without needing to call or visit them?

For participating health funds fortunately we are able to swipe your health fund card through our HI CAPS machine and as a result, give you an estimate on your benefit on the spot. Enabling you to make an informed financial decision, before receiving your service.

Do I need to pay the full fee before I can claim my health fund rebate?

There’s no need to pay the full consultation fee up-front then wait for the reimbursement of your benefit. Once your claim is authorised by the health fund, you simply pay the gap amount – the difference between the full fee for the treatment and the amount claimed from your health fund.
