Crown and Bridgework

Essentially, a crown is a “cap” which is fitted over an existing tooth to strengthen, restore or improve its appearance. Crowns are used in circumstances such as to accommodate the attachment of a fixed bridge or in restoration of a tooth that has undergone root canal treatment.

For those patients with one or more missing teeth, we can restore the balance of your smile very effectively with a bridge treatment. A bridge is a prosthetic solution that is anchored to neighbouring teeth, which replaces a missing tooth or teeth. When a lost tooth is replaced with bridgework, the teeth on either side of the space are prepared for crowns in order to hold the prosthetic teeth in place. With a bridge treatment, smiles with gaps can be restored to their natural-looking appearance.
